Assemble artwork into
a print-ready PDF with every ink in place
Place what the other BoxLab tools make — patterns, lettering, barcodes, die lines — with your own SVG, PDF and pictures. Arrange them on layers, give each its ink, mark cut, crease, white, varnish and foil, watch the preflight as you go, and export a print-ready PDF. Es gratis. De verdad.

What it does
Everything between the artwork and the press
Composer does not draw. It places, arranges, masks, colors, checks and exports, so the file that leaves it is the one the printer wants.
Place
- SVG, PDF, PNG and JPEG, at their real size
- Live text in your own fonts, rectangles and ellipses
- Move, scale and turn in millimeters
Arrange in layers
- Artwork, technical and reference layers
- Hide or lock a layer, or a single object
- Reference layers never print
Inks and spots
- CMYK percentages, or a spot color and its tint
- Recolor placed vector artwork to one ink
- Overprint and blend modes, per object
Technical layers
- Cut, crease, white, varnish and foil
- Everything on the layer prints in its ink
- Overprinting, as finishing plates should
Masks
- Clip any object with the outline of another
- A picture inside a shape, or inside the letters
- The mask stays live and editable
Live preflight
- Artwork short of the bleed or over the safety line
- Pictures too coarse to print sharp
- Checked while you work, not after export
Prepress PDF
- Trim and bleed boxes set in the file
- Spot inks as real separations, with overprint
- Text kept as text, or turned to outlines
How it works
Six steps to a print-ready file
From a blank page to a PDF the printer can run.
Set the page
Trim size, bleed and safety margin, in millimeters.
Place the parts
Your SVG, PDF and pictures, and what the other BoxLab tools export, with text and shapes.
Layer and mask
Put each part on its layer, in order, and clip what should show only in part.
Assign inks
CMYK or a spot color for each part, and cut, crease, white, varnish or foil on technical layers.
Check
The preflight lists what would trouble the press while you can still fix it.
Export the PDF
Trim and bleed boxes, spot separations and overprint, ready for the printer.
Where it is used
For jobs with more than four inks
Wherever artwork has to arrive at the press with its spots, finishes and die line in place.
Packaging
Box panels with the artwork, the die line and the crease on their own layers.
Labels
Product labels with a spot color, a white underprint and a cut line.
Foil and varnish jobs
Spot varnish and foil as separate plates, lined up with the artwork.
Die-cut work
Stickers, tags and shaped cards with a CutContour the cutter can read.
Print shops
Fix up a customer file: place it, add the bleed and the finishing plates, check, export.
Lettering and patterns
Bring Letterer, Patterner and Barcoder exports together on one sheet.
Design work
